Greetings from London

Hi there buddy!

You wouldn’t believe me. I’m writing this letter from a coffee shop in London! Today is my second day here. Arrived here yesterday after my 1 week trip to Barcelona.  I could see London Eye from the coffee shop. London eye is a giant ferris wheel in London. Lucky me, the weather is hot. So, I could travel around without worrying about storm and rain. How about the weather in Jakarta? I hope that it is as good as in London :-D

I have visited Madame Tussauds this morning. It is a major tourist attraction located in Central London. It's a place that contains wax of famous person from all over the world. In Madame Tussauds, you can take pictures with any wax you want. I took pictures with many wax of famous person. But my favorite picture is of course with Justin Bieber.

I feel so excited about my trip. I could visit two of my favorite city around the world. So after this, I’m going to visit Emirates Stadium. Then, I'm going to take a ride in London Eye. It feels like a dream come true to me. I think I have to go now. The cab is already here. Anyway, I'll spend three more days here then I'm off to Jakarta. Promise to write to you soon before I come back to Jakarta :-).

Guess Who?

Any Idea? No? Aww... It’s me, Ellen. You haven’t forgotten about me, have you....? Of course not. I’m too awesome of a friend for you to forget me that easily. And beside, my name is there along with email. Pointless, I know.

Nah, cross that part. This is the real important thing. Right now, right when I’m writing this email, I am sitting in a cafe with a humonguous rounded ancient building view outside. Yes, my friend. I’m in Rome. An that humonguous rounded ancient building thing I was referring is Colloseum. You know what it is, don’t you? It was the place used for gladiators fighting back in the time. Ah, historical building it is. I got a lot of wonderful shots of it, along with myself in the picture of course. For the proof that I’ve been here. I’m sure you know my antics well enough.

And about any events that happened recently.... It is nothing biggie, actually. But I supposed I should tell you this. I was visiting the Vesuvius Volcano—you know, the mountain which was featured in Donald Duck as Magica De Spell home? Yeah that is the one. And no, I was there not only because I’m obsessed with Donald Duck. Absoulutely not. Back to the story. I was hiking there with my tour friends and guide when a lady came out from a lonely old shack up the hills. She has jet black hair to her shoulder which seemed kind of unnatural and this dark aura around her. A crow was flying after her. I spontaneusly said,”Is that you, Magica De Spell?” with this ear-to-ear grin and happiness basically oozing from my face—the witnesses said(read: tour guide and friends). And I saw the lady raised her eyebrow and twitched in annoyance. Maybe it was not the first time anyone said it to her. My tour guide and friends guffawed at me and I only realized what I just said minutes later. Embarrasing, I know.

So far so good. It was relaxing and exciting being here. I don’t have to think about any work, but soon enough this 2-weeks holiday will end. Well, which means I have to enjoy it to the fullest. Perhaps I could write to you again three days from now.

Madrid

Hi!

Guess where i'm writing from - am internet cafe in Madrid! arrived here  yesterday and it seems so be a great place. It's so relaxing. The weather is a little bit cold. I'm sure the weather is equally good at home.

We've been touring 3 weeks now. Have had great fun most of the time - only the first day was a bit hectic.

We can see anything you want in Madrid. Madrid is trend with a lot of sightseeing place like Temple of Debod,  Las Ventas Bullring. I've already visit that 2 sightseeing and maybe i want to visit Royal Palace and Royal Armoury

I'm so happy to traveling in Madrid, the people was good and the place was so exciting that's make me so happy to traveling in madrid.

Have to finish, we're going to see a shopping center or sightseeing tomorrow. We're going to stay in madrid for about 2 days then off to Milan. I'll write again from there.

Paris, Je t'aime.

Dear, Ellen

   What's up? i'm in Paris for 2 weeks! i know it's kind of sudden, i just needed to take a break from the hustle and bustle of New York City and refresh my mind.

   I've visited the icon of Paris as known as Eiffel Tower. It was beyond amazing, i loved everything little thing about it. I also did visit Louvre, one of the largest museums in the world. Louvre has artistic collections of paintings from a to z, my favorite one was Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci.

   Funny thing happened in the museum, while I was looking at a beautiful sculpture, someone pushed me from the back and I accidentally touched it. The security went nuts, they thought I was going to steal it. I was so embarrassed

  Anyway it’s been an awesome trip. I’ll come back to the city in 5 days. I really wish I could stay longer. Enough for now, I’ll send you an email later.

I am arrived at a beautiful island

Hello Marco!

I’m in the middle of the sea, I’m just arrived at an beautiful island and I think it’s a beautiful island and I want to take a rest in this island for about 1 days maybe, cause it is so tired fight waves that coming continuously. This island had a beautiful beach on it and had a white sand on it, you will be like it if you come to this island, maybe I can name it Arthur island haha!

Sea in this island is so wonderful so crystal clear I can see many fish from here, I build a tent and I’m eating fish and fruit from this island luckily there is no wild animals that disturbing me. I feel happy in here, so peaceful I’m rarely got this silence and harmony from the sounds of waves that coming to coral reef and bird that flying around this island.

I have to continue my journey, perhaps I can write a letter when I arrived at town, bye!

English Assignment 1 (final draft)

IMAGES OF INDONESIA           
 The aim of this report is to present what is popular in Indonesia. I interviewed 5 of my friends by chatting and in person. The question concerned food and sport.
FOOD: NASI PADANG            
Nasi padang is a traditional food from Indonesia, there's a lot of food in nasi padang like 'ayam balado', 'sayur nangka', and many more. Mostly padang food contain a lot of  coconut milk or we call it curry food.             100% people that i interviewed agree that nasi padang is original from Indonesia, they said they can't find an original nasi padang in another country. The fact is nasi padang come from Indonesia, in another country many restaurant serve nasi padang but, the taste is different. Nasi padang serve for the first time in Padang, West Sumatera. Many people said that 'Beef Randang' and 'Squid Curry' is a favourite menu in Nasi Padang, it's very tasty. Besides ayam pop and egg curry there's a lot of tasty menu in nasi padang like fish head curry, chicken curry, ayam pop and many more.
SPORT: SOCCER            
Soccer is a favourite sport in Indonesia. When Indonesian Soccer team (PSSI) playing against another country, the supporter's getting crazy, they came from jakarta and outside Jakarta to support PSSI. 90% people i interviewed said that Indonesia Soccer team are getting better, because they can beat an international team with a high score. 10% people said Indonesia Soccer team didn't change anything. Indonesian Soccer Team players are getting better from the first. People that i interviewed said soccer player are better than the first because they practice from defeat. Indonesian Soccer Team player prove that they can defeat an international team with win 4-3 against Turkemenistan.

 The aim of this report is to present what is popular in Indonesia. I interviewed five of my friends directly in class. The questions concerned music, food, and public transportation.

Music    :                                               

Dangdut is one of Indonesian traditional song.  And I interviewed my friends, what do they think about Indonesian favorite music, and all of it says that Indonesian people more likely a western songs like rock, pop, etc.

Food      :                                                     

 There are many traditional food that comes from many province in Indonesia like tumpeng, rendang, pecel, etc. And I interviewed my friends, what do they think about Indonesian favourite food and 4 of 5 people said that Indonesian like his country dish. 3 of 5 people said they like tumpeng, and 2 of 5 people said they like rendang.

Public Transport:                                      

it is an important thing for some people that does not own a car, and in Indonesia there are many public transportation like Bus, Bajaj, Becak, etc. And I interviewed my friends, what do they think about Indonesian favourite transportation and all of it choose own car but if they has to pick a public transportation. 2 of 5 people choose Bus, and 2 of 5 people too choose Taxi and the other is Angkot.

       The surprising fact is most of Indonesian people like their country food and that was good news that we should proud of our traditional food, and we have to like our public transportation and our music, cause it is our culture that we have to keep the existence.
